BNI Reaches the 100,000 Member Mark!

Sometime during the third week in June, BNI passed the 100,000 member mark—this milestone is certainly a cause for celebration!

So, how exactly did BNI grow from a humble 12-member seedling group in 1985 to an organization with 100,000 members in 2007? When asked this question, BNI Founder & Chairman Dr. Ivan Misner explained, "The key to our phenomenal growth is our organizational culture, which is based on our founding philosophy of 'Givers Gain.'"Because each new member embraces a 'Givers Gain' attitude, BNI has grown from 500 chapters worldwide during the years of 1985-1996 to nearly 5,000 chapters in 2007.

BNI's CEO, Norm Dominguez, says, "The entire BNI team is to be applauded, meaning YOU—all directors, members, staff, and strategic alliance partners. Ivan and I are pleased to announce that the organization has passed the 100,000 member mark. It happened sometime in June while we were all doing what we love—helping each other build our respective businesses through referral marketing."
