Fyling Chile Pepper Courier Service expands fleet

Flying Chile Pepper Courier Service is pleased to announce the addition of a new vehicle to its fleet. After the recent addition of Action Courier Service in Riviera Beach, the company needed a van to carry loads too large or heavy for a car, and too small for the 27 foot Freightliner lift-gate truck. Conscious of rising fuel costs and the effect of fuel emissions on the environment, the company decided to purchase a white Dodge Sprinter.

The Sprinter uses a 6 cylinder Mercedes diesel engine that consumes fuel at 23 – 25 mpg according to Sprinter owners. Calculating a 5 -10 mpg advantage over other vans, driving 200,000 miles the Sprinter will save between 2400 and 5300 gallons of fuel. With a payload capacity of over 3900 pounds, the Sprinter will carry four times more than a Ford 150 series cargo van. This new vehicle adds tremendous utility for our customers who need us to move large and heavy items because the Sprinter’s design allows us to forklift a crate or pallet into the side or rear of the cargo box.

"Michael S. had called our service shortly after his mother’s death to help clear out her home. Lucky for him, it was 1-800-GOT-JUNK? truck team members Phil Sanon and Latoya Walls who arrived on the scene. In our business we deal with these type jobs on a daily basis, for these customers the items we remove are not junk, they are possessions associated with a lifetime of memories. He was immensely thankful that our team had convinced him not the throw away the items. The guilt, he said, would have eaten him alive had he thrown the items away. Phil and Latoya have now developed a friendship with Michael, and have even agreed to take his mothers old photos and scan them onto a CD for him!"

Aspen Air at the Home Design and Remodeling Show

Aspen Air will be an exhibitor at the Broward Country Convention Center (17th Street Causeway & Eisenhower Blvd.) for the “Home Design & Remodeling Show.”

The event runs from Friday, May 25 (6-10 PM), Saturday (12-10 PM), Sunday (12-10 PM), and Monday, May 28th (12-7 PM - Memorial Day). Our BNI member, Dave Gorte, Commercial Account Mgr for Aspen Air, will be at the show on Memorial Day from noon to 4pm so stop by and say hi.
