Gary Broidis' Second Retail Bus Tour a Success

  The Retail Bus Tour, Inc. (www.retailbustour.com), a new marketing and networking event specifically designed for the shopping center industry made its’ way throughout Miami-Dade County last Thursday with over 150 real estate and retail professionals on three chartered buses.  With the assistance of three Dade County police escorts, the Tour covered over 35 major shopping centers while making stops throughout the day at Main Street in Miami Lakes, The Shops at Midtown Miami and Miracle Marketplace in Coral Gables.

During this full-day event, property owners, brokers and retail tenants learned about the market, properties, vacancies, expanding retailers and networked with each other all day.  According to BNI member Gary Broidis and Larry Brooks, Founders of the Retail Bus Tour, there were people in attendance from as far as Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.  While the moderators on each bus provided detailed information on each property featured on the Tour, the property owners and/or representatives also provided further details about future plans for the properties along with incentives being offered to the brokerage and retail community. 

According to Aaron Fox, Director of Real Estate for Southeast Florida for Subway who was in attendance and also attended the first Retail Bus Tour in Broward County last October, “we had discussions that led to store openings in Broward and Palm Beach counties” and added “it’s great to network and would take months to get all this information.”
